Joanne Begiato Appointed Associate Dean of Research at London College of Fashion

Joanne Begiato’s accomplishments include securing external funding for research projects, such as the Leverhulme Trust Fellowship and an AHRC Research Network Grant. Currently, she is leading a research team alongside Michael Brown from Lancaster University, investigating the historical and contemporary significance of the Victorian Hand.

Her affiliations and editorial roles further highlight her standing in academia. Joanne Begiato is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society and serves on the project board of the Bibliography of British and Irish History. She also contributes as an editor for Palgrave Macmillan’s “Global Studies in Social and Cultural Maritime History.”
